Hello My Loves!
In honour of Westlife being back and their first single (I'm late; I know), I decided that today's update will be a new Westlife short scene!
The wonderful Rhiannon made this new influx of banners for us. I played it safe and asked her to make them without images of the celebs as I don't want to get fined/do anything illegal.
Let me know what you think of this scene in either the comment below or on the comment board to the right. I have some more new stories and new chapters of others that I will be posting at some point. If you've been following my posts on here/social media you'll know I haven't been very well so instead of a proper schedule I will updating as and when I can.

Returning to Regular Scheduling Soon!
Hi all!
I'm so sorry that this year has gotten off to a rough start. I've been trying to find the motivation to post and to write but my mental health has had to come first. As I type this (a week ahead of this post going live) I am currently working on a new update schedule (sticking to new stories/chapters on Mondays and throwbacks on Fridays) which will start from today.
Given that article 13 has passed, making banners/promotional edits is going to be harder as I won't be able to use any pictures of the people we feature in our stories. I'm going to need your help to promote new stories and if you see a new post either here or on our social media pages please look out for the names of the celebrities being featured in the description as, without the images, it will be harder for you to see at a glance who it is about.

Sorry that there wasn't a post on Monday, I just didn't have one ready and by the time I remembered it was too late to sort anything out.
Today's Flashback Friday is a quadruple feature! This may or may not be to prepare you for future updates coming really soon...
Note: I have revised the order of these (they're in a different order on the Harry page) and added a small sentence into "Sober" to make things make sense.

It's Just Another Manic Monday...
Hi all!
Just a quick update to mention a few changes:
1: The layout. I have reverted back to the Spring/Summer look of last year for now. I'm so over Winter and how cold it has been!
2: The Spotify playlist has been removed. I just didn't think anyone would appreciate only having Christmas music to listen to seeing as we are now in almost in March. I'll be bringing the feature back at some point with an updated playlist for you.
3: If you check out the Christmas/Winter page and click on '2018' you will find a master list of all the new (and 2 existing) stories that were featured on the calendar last year. There are no banners as of yet as I don't think my laptop can handle making them anymore.
I will still be bringing you new updates on Mondays and flashbacks on Fridays but for now: how about.... this?

(Belated) Happy New Year!
Hi all!
I know, I know. It's been nearly 2 months since the last update went live and I haven't so much as logged in since. In fact; it's actually been longer than that for me. I last logged out at the end of November and have stayed away until now. I had originally planned to take all of December and half of January off like I usually do but things didn't work out that way. If you've been here before you might know that I suffer from a panic disorder and severe depression and that is exactly what has kept me away for so long on top of just being burned out. I was extremely burned out having written 25 of the 26 stories/updates that were made available via the calendar and from the stress of not knowing where the next update would come from as I was (and still am) doing all the writing for this site. I'm also the only one who updates our social media accounts, codes all of the stories and does all the site maintenance. Bar the ones that Rhiannon kindly made, I've also done all of the banners that you see. It's a lot for one person. I love doing it though, I just need some pressure to be lifted.
So I need your help.
1. I need you to share this site with as many people as you can as well as on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook (I'll leave the links below).
2. I would like to see some new stories in my inbox (firstlight.fanfics@yahoo.com). They don't have to be coded, long or even perfect as I can help with all of that but I do need them to be written in English using correct punctuation etc.
3. If you can help making banners then please let me know.
And last but not least; I need you to start leaving comments either on the comment board or to start interacting more via Twitter and Instagram as that would also help more people to find us.
This would help me out a lot as a) it would then mean that I don't have to burn myself out writing for our weekly deadlines as other updates would be ready for me to just code and b) it would mean that more people can enjoy the site if you share it with other fans of the people featured on this site. It would also mean that I wasn't updating to an 'empty' audience. I rely a lot on people telling me that they liked this or that or pointing out (nicely) if there are any issues with the site/story pages.
Hopefully that didn't come across as demanding or entitled. I hate asking for help but I really need it if we (you and I) want the site to continue.
Oh, and you might want to stop by on Monday (any time after 11am UK) for another update! 😉
