Hi all!
I know, I know. It's been nearly 2 months since the last update went live and I haven't so much as logged in since. In fact; it's actually been longer than that for me. I last logged out at the end of November and have stayed away until now. I had originally planned to take all of December and half of January off like I usually do but things didn't work out that way. If you've been here before you might know that I suffer from a panic disorder and severe depression and that is exactly what has kept me away for so long on top of just being burned out. I was extremely burned out having written 25 of the 26 stories/updates that were made available via the calendar and from the stress of not knowing where the next update would come from as I was (and still am) doing all the writing for this site. I'm also the only one who updates our social media accounts, codes all of the stories and does all the site maintenance. Bar the ones that Rhiannon kindly made, I've also done all of the banners that you see. It's a lot for one person. I love doing it though, I just need some pressure to be lifted.
So I need your help.
1. I need you to share this site with as many people as you can as well as on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook (I'll leave the links below).
2. I would like to see some new stories in my inbox (firstlight.fanfics@yahoo.com). They don't have to be coded, long or even perfect as I can help with all of that but I do need them to be written in English using correct punctuation etc.
3. If you can help making banners then please let me know.
And last but not least; I need you to start leaving comments either on the comment board or to start interacting more via Twitter and Instagram as that would also help more people to find us.
This would help me out a lot as
a) it would then mean that I don't have to burn myself out writing for our weekly deadlines as other updates would be ready for me to just code and
b) it would mean that more people can enjoy the site if you share it with other fans of the people featured on this site. It would also mean that I wasn't updating to an 'empty' audience. I rely a lot on people telling me that they liked this or that or pointing out (nicely) if there are any issues with the site/story pages.
Hopefully that didn't come across as demanding or entitled. I hate asking for help but I really need it if we (you and I) want the site to continue.
Oh, and you might want to stop by on Monday (any time after 11am UK) for another update! 😉
